By downloading, installing, or using Alvio ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App. These terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Alvio ("we," "our," or "us").

Description of Service

Alvio is an AI-powered mental health companion application that provides conversational support through text and voice. Alvio is designed to offer empathetic, personalized conversations to help users process thoughts and feelings.

Alvio is NOT a substitute for professional mental health care. Alvio does not provide therapy, counseling, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988) or your local emergency services immediately.

Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years of age to use Alvio. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

Account and Access

You may access Alvio through Apple Sign In or Guest Mode. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Subscriptions and Payments

Alvio offers a free tier with limited daily messages and premium subscription plans. All subscriptions are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.

• Free Tier: 10 messages per day, 2 minutes audio recording per session.
• Weekly Premium: $9.99 per week, auto-renewable.
• Monthly Premium: $29.99 per month, auto-renewable.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings. No refunds will be provided for partial subscription periods.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Alvio for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use automated systems or bots to interact with the App
• Share or distribute content generated by Alvio in a way that misrepresents it as professional medical advice
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
• Use Alvio to generate content that is harmful, abusive, or illegal

AI-Generated Content

Alvio's responses are generated by artificial intelligence and are provided for informational and supportive purposes only. AI-generated content may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your specific situation. You should not rely on Alvio's responses as a substitute for professional advice.

Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software — are owned by Alvio and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Alvio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the App.

Alvio is not responsible for any actions taken or not taken based on AI-generated responses. You acknowledge that Alvio is not a healthcare provider and that you use the App at your own risk.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms within the App. Your continued use of Alvio after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
